Beyond Conference 2026 Recap: Speakers, Tech, and Takeaways from Austin

The Beyond Conference — Dave Asprey's annual flagship biohacking event — returned in 2026 with one of its strongest lineups yet. Held in Austin, TX, the multi-day event brings together world-class speakers, 150+ health and wellness vendors, and thousands of attendees serious about optimizing every dimension of their health. I made the trip and came back with pages of notes, a few new supplements, and a pair of titanium TrueDark glasses.

Here's what stood out.

Phenomenal Speakers

Every year, Dave Asprey manages to pack the stage with incredible speakers, and 2026 may have been one of the best lineups yet.

The conference opened with a keynote by Rob Lawless, creator of Robs10Kfriends. Rob believes the most important biohack is human connection, and he shared his FRIENDS framework for meeting people:

  • F & R — Family and Relationships: Someone's background, origins, and family life
  • I — Industry: Education and career
  • E — Entertainment: Hobbies and interests
  • N & D — Needs and Dreams: Goals and future aspirations

Jim Kwik delivered his signature high-energy session packed with wisdom. His best line of the day: "If your mind is empty, read. If your mind is full, write."

Ben Azadi shared his journey from overweight kid to metabolic health advocate. He covered the benefits of extended fasting and practical healthy fat swaps — and yes, his olive oil at the vendor booth was exceptional.

Dr. Gabrielle Lyon, founder of the Muscle-Centric Medicine® movement, made a compelling case that muscle — not weight loss — is the true lever for longevity and quality of life.

Dr. John Gray (of Men Are from Mars, Women Are from Venus fame) gave a fascinating talk on the biological and hormonal differences between men and women, and how our daily interactions directly affect our hormone levels.

Arthur Brooks, Harvard professor and happiness researcher, connected our device-driven lifestyles to rising unhappiness. His prescription: establish tech-free times, tech-free zones, and regular technology fasts.

David Bayer presented what he calls the golden equation: Desire + Nonresistance = Desired Result. He also outlined the five-stage loop that shapes every outcome: Beliefs → Thoughts → Feelings → Actions → Results.

Jay Shetty, former monk and bestselling author, delivered a captivating talk on finding your purpose. He opened by clearing up common misconceptions — your purpose doesn't have to be your job, make you money, or make you famous — and shared his BLISS framework:

  • B — Belonging
  • L — Learning
  • I — Individuality
  • S — Significance
  • S — Service

The Tech Hall

Over 150 vendors showcased the latest in health technology and supplementation. A few highlights:

  • Alitura — Andy's skincare line continues to be one of the most thoughtfully formulated in the industry. Quality skin care matters, and Alitura is hard to beat.
  • Oxefit — AI-powered personalized strength training. Looks intense, but the efficiency case is compelling.
  • Dr. Bauman's hair restoration booth — A perennial stop for me. (My line every year: "Is this the world's greatest before picture or what?")
  • TrueDark — Dave debuted a new titanium signature pair of glasses. I may have left with a pair.
  • Ozone therapy — Got my first treatment. A future deep-dive topic.

The lunches, as always, were a cut above: slow-braised grass-fed beef over organic cauliflower rice, finished with fresh olive relish and dark chocolate fudge with blueberry compote.

The Grand Prize Giveaway

Dave gives away tens of thousands of dollars in prizes at every conference, but 2026 set a new record. One lucky attendee walked away with a grand prize package worth $100,000 — the largest giveaway in the history of the event. The look of pure joy on the winner's face was worth the trip alone.

Final Thoughts

The Beyond Conference continues to be the most comprehensive and high-quality event in the biohacking and human optimization space. If you've never attended, it belongs on your list.
