9th Annual Mysore Yoga Conference | Jan 19-28, 2027 - Mysore, India/Virtual
A ten-day immersion in Gokulam, Mysore, pairing daily Mysore-style Ashtanga practice with afternoon lectures by scholars and elders of Mysore's Sanskrit community. Online attendance is also available.
The 9th Annual Mysore Yoga Conference brings practitioners from around the world to Gokulam, Mysore, from January 19-28, 2027, to learn from the living yoga tradition that so much of modern yoga descends from. Hosted by Mysore Yoga Traditions and led by Andrew Eppler, who has studied in Mysore since 1990, the conference is open to sincere yoga students of all levels.
Mornings are devoted to Mysore-style Ashtanga practice with Andrew Eppler and guest teachers, with focused study in pranayama, mudra, mantra and vinyasa refinement. Each afternoon a different scholar from Mysore's Sanskrit community leads a 60-90 minute lecture followed by open group discussion. Past speakers have included Sri B.N.S. Iyengar, a daughter of Sri Krishnamacharya, the Maharaja of Mysore, heads of religious lineages and noted Sanskrit scholars; the full 2027 lineup will be announced soon.
Sessions are held at the Sri Krishna Temple in Gokulam. All-inclusive packages cover ten days of practice and lectures, accommodation in Gokulam, two vegetarian meals a day, cultural excursions to the Maharaja's Sanskrit College and Jaganmohan Palace, and a closing day trip to the Lakshminarayana Ashram. Conference-only and online attendance options are offered, and the program carries a Yoga Alliance-recognized continuing education certificate.
Featured speakers: Andrew Eppler, Dr. M. A. Alwar (closing lecture); full 2027 scholar lineup to be announced
