Illuman Awaken 2026 | Nov 5-8, 2026 - Glorieta, NM
Awaken 2026, "Living the Stories," is Illuman's annual 4-day men's gathering at Camp Glorieta near Santa Fe, exploring the sacred masculine through contemplative practice, council circles, ritual, story and time in nature.
Awaken 2026, themed "Living the Stories: Discovering the Sacred Masculine Together," is the annual men's gathering hosted by Illuman, the men's spiritual movement founded by Franciscan teacher Richard Rohr. The event returns to New Mexico, where Illuman's Men's Rites of Passage and the original Awaken (Soularize) gathering began, and takes place November 5-8, 2026 at Camp Glorieta, a retreat center in the southern Rocky Mountains just outside Santa Fe.
The 4-day, 3-night gathering is for men who want to deepen their inner work in community. Through Illuman's five essential practices (nature, ritual, image, story and council), participants explore the stories that shape their lives and what it means to live from a healthy, generative sacred masculine. The program includes contemplative spiritual practices, speakers and storytellers, small council circles, rituals of transformation, time in nature, and rest and play alongside other men. No prior Illuman event or Rite of Passage is required.
Registration is all-inclusive with nine meals and lodging in shared cottages: $780 per person for a double room, $860 for a private room (currently waitlisted), $500 off-site registration, and $1,360 father/son or mentor/mentee bundles. Volunteer-based scholarships are available. Capacity is limited to 250 attendees and registration closes October 23.
Featured speakers: Terry Chapman, Karim Aziz, Ned Abenroth, Doug Shirley, T. Michael Rock, Terry Symens-Bucher
