A weekend Kripalu Experience program with faculty Jess Frey and Jon Orsini exploring radical self-care, nervous system regulation and healing through Somatic Breathwork and sound.
The Medicine of Sound Healing and Somatic Breathwork is a residential weekend program at Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health in Stockbridge, Massachusetts, led by Kripalu faculty Jess Frey and Jon Orsini. Built around the idea that breath is the simplest way to access and shift the nervous system, the program pairs Somatic Breathwork with the harmonizing qualities of sound to support emotional release, nervous system regulation, expanded awareness and personal insight.
Over the weekend, participants move through Somatic Breathwork, meditation, sound immersion with crystal bowls, chimes, gongs and song, group dialog and reflective journaling, with time for community sharing and integration. Guests leave with accessible tools for living a more open, flowing and authentic life.
The stay includes 10+ daily Kripalu Yoga classes, three meals a day and access to Kripalu's grounds in the Berkshires. Tuition starts at $325 per person plus required accommodations. The program is not a substitute for medical or mental health care, and Kripalu lists contraindications (including pregnancy and cardiovascular conditions) on the program page. Additional dates are offered Jan 22-24, Mar 5-7 and Apr 16-18, 2027.
