International Marcé Society Conference | Sep 6-9, 2026 - Cape Town, South Africa
The International Marcé Society Conference brings psychiatrists, psychologists, obstetricians, midwives, and researchers together for the latest in perinatal mental health research and clinical care.
For the first time in its history, the International Marcé Society for Perinatal Mental Health is bringing its prestigious conference to the African continent, hosted at the Century City Conference Centre in Cape Town, South Africa. This year's theme, UBUNTU: Umuntu Ngumuntu Ngabantu (I Am Because We Are), speaks to shared humanity, connection, and the healing power of community.
The conference brings together various strands of research in perinatal mental disorders, providing a forum for psychiatrists, psychologists, paediatricians, obstetricians, midwives, nurses, and early childhood specialists to discuss research, clinical care, and prevention. This year's event is exclusively in-person, offering attendees the opportunity to network, collaborate, and connect with professionals from around the world.
The International Marcé Society advocates for everyone whose mental health is impacted during the perinatal period, including parents, partners, family members, and infants, and works to reduce disparities in perinatal mental health care globally.
Featured speakers: Prof Prabha Chandra, Prof Jane Fisher, Prof Muthoni Mathai, Dr Bibilola Oladeji, Dr Lauren Osborne, María F. Rodríguez-Muñoz.
