The Poetics of ACT | Nov 9-11, 2026 - Moab, UT
A 3-day CE intensive in Moab, Utah with ACT co-founder Kelly G. Wilson, PhD, exploring acceptance, defusion, values, and the poetic stance in clinical practice. 12 APA-approved CE credits.
The Poetics of ACT is an immersive continuing education intensive led by Kelly G. Wilson, PhD, professor emeritus of psychology at the University of Mississippi and co-founder of Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT). Set against the stunning red rock landscape of Moab, Utah, this 3-day program pairs rigorous professional development with the restorative beauty of one of the most iconic destinations in the American West.
Learning sessions take place at the Red Earth Venue, a privately held 17-acre property near Arches and Canyonlands National Parks. Half-day learning formats leave afternoons and evenings free for exploration, rest, or time with travel companions. The program is capped at 70 participants to preserve an intimate, experiential learning environment.
Topics include: acceptance, cognitive defusion, present-moment awareness, values, committed action, and the use of a poetic stance to deepen clinical attunement. 12 CE credits are approved through the American Psychological Association (APA) and the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB).
